Susan has been weaving for 47 years. In years past when she lived in Seattle, she participated in ten craft events each year and created special orders for customers and interior designers — weaving about 300 rag rugs every year. Over her career, she estimates she kept 31,500 pounds of fabric out of the landfill. In her “retirement” in the Methow she weaves fewer rugs but still takes pride in reusing/recycling fabric for colorful rag rugs.
