Peter Nawrot Woodworking

Peter Nawrot has been a woodworker for over 20 years and salvaged dead or dying trees for half that time. His interest lies in the unusual grain/color patterns that can be found within some trees and the spalting that occurs when a tree gets infiltrated by water and begins to die.   His goal is to keep exploring this process and show people the beauty that only nature can create.  Currently he has been creating decorative but usable pieces like serving boards, butcher blocks and pizza peels out of a maple tree from Sedro-Woolley.   He will continue exploring his collection of special wood and creating gifts items, furniture and sculpture for others to enjoy.

You can find Peter's handmade boards at Methow Valley Goods on the TwispWorks Campus.
