Methow Photo Arts

Sherry Malotte has been a photographer all of her life. Growing up in Missouri and Iowa, she found her way to the gorgeous Northwest just after graduate school and has never looked back. An elite cyclist for many years and a passion for mountain biking led her to the Methow Valley where she has lived full time since 2003.

“When I am in the flow of creating and my images portray the idea I had in mind, I get a thrill that is matched by nothing else I know. It absolutely confirms for me, I am doing what I’m supposed to be doing.”

Sherry is passionate about her abstract work as it allows her to explore concepts and emotions in art that evoke a sense of wonder about the subject matter. The idea of beauty is always with her when she is creating. Her primary purpose in life is to put as much beauty into the world as possible whether that is with her art or everyday activities and encounters.

Sherry specializes in abstract and fine art photography and is wild about all types of animals. Having been in real estate for many years, she also has a great eye and skill for real estate photography.

Her images have been published with Harper Collins Book Publishers (book cover), Men’s Journal, Outdoors NW, Rocky Mountain School of Photography’s catalog and website, Wild Mind Film Camp website, Blue Sky Real Estate website, the Methow Valley News and the journal, Butterflies and Anvils. She has also won many local pet photography contests as well as an Audubon Society contest. Her fine art and abstract work has been exhibited across the country in many juried exhibitions.

Sherry’s images are available for licensing or as fine art prints and can be found on her website: www.sherrymalotte.com. She is also available for commissions and location photography services throughout the Pacific Northwest.
